Verification of CFD Simulation of Francis Turbine Using TCFD
The actual data of the Francis turbine was measured at the FORTUNAII hydroelectric power station in Minas Gerais, Brazil!
This project report is a collaboration with Hidroenergia, a water turbine manufacturer, and involved the verification of CFD simulations for Francis turbines using TCFD software. In this project, tests were conducted on existing turbines, and as a result of comparing the test data with the simulation data, the turbine efficiency and power values obtained from the TCFD software matched very well. *For more detailed information, please refer to the related links.
